The doctoral school brings together highly motivated PhD candidates from a variety of disciplines (science, design, economics, law, ...) to foster entrepreneurial thinking, increase their awareness regarding circular economy opportunities and provide them with skills and tools to translate technological ideas into relevant and viable business initiatives, towards a more sustainable future.
The goal of the programme is the application of concepts of the circular economy to the technology sector, i.e. making products and processes more circular, more sustainable.
Each participating PhD student will work in a multidisciplinary team. They will experience an intense week solving a challenge prepared and coached by our scientific and industry experts. The outcome is presented to a jury on the last day in the form of a business pitch.
Any PhD candidate with an affinity for developing new business models in a world of limited resources. Candidates are welcome from a variety of disciplines, including: science and engineering (materials, chemical, electrical, manufacturing, ...), business and economics, law, product design, ...
